The Chargers women’s volleyball program has a solid foundation of eight returnees on the roster with five newcomers to round out the mix. Watch for third-year vets Hilary Graham (2011-12 PACWEST Athlete of the Week) and Mariah Holmstrom, and second-year players Kelsey Clarke, Jamie Fleet, Carly Hilliard (2011-12 CCAA National Scholar Athlete & PACWEST All-Rookie), Kelsey Johnson, Morgan Marshall and Olivia Redden.

Suiting up for the Chargers in their first year of post-secondary play are Claire Ash (Stelly’s), Natalie Delange (GP Vanier), Lainey Jantzi (Ballenas), Jamie Rodstrom (Belmont) and Erika Morris from Prince George (The Province’s Super 15 Female Senior Class of 2012).

On the men’s side, nine experienced veterans and five talented newcomers will lead the cause for 2012-13 season. Playing out their fifth and final year are Garrett Marcellus (2011-12 PACWEST 2nd Team All-Star & Athlete of the Week) and offensive talent, Andrew Inglis. Third-year vets Jeremy Finn, Chhase McFarlen and Alex Wolf will team up once again with second-year returnees Tanner March, Ryan Thain and CCAA National Scholar Athlete and PACWEST Rookie of the Year, Alex Sadowski.

Second-year transfer Robin Smith from Whitehorse will experience his first year at Camosun along with a talented pool of rookies including Adrian Best (St. Joseph’s, Grande Prairie, AB) and James Cameron (Gulf Islands, Salt Spring) and Victoria natives Lucas Dellabough (Lambrick), Ryan Marcellus (Oak Bay) and Lachlan Polson (Claremont).

As Team BC’s gold medal starting setter at the 17U level, Ryan Marcellus was named in the Province’s Senior Boys Super 15 Class of 2012 and has been called one of BC’s best setters. Lachlan Polson is a two-time Provincial Team athlete and is expected to be a big contributor to the Chargers line-up this year along with Lucas Dellabough who earned Tournament MVP at the Chargers 2011 Senior Boys’ High School Tournament.
