October 20, 2012, Vancouver, BC – Cody Sylvester scored his first career Western Hockey League hat trick propelling the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-4 win in Vancouver Saturday night at Pacific Coliseum.

Brooks Macek (1g 1a) and Josh Thrower, with his first career goal, also scored for Calgary.

Greg Chase chipped in two assists as the Hitmen complete their three game BC Division road trip winning two of a possible three games.

Mack Shields made 30 saves to pick up the win in goal. Vancouver out shot Calgary 34-24.

The Hitmen, 8-2-1-1, sit a point ahead of the Edmonton Oil Kings for top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Calgary returns home to open a busy stretch of three games in three days starting Friday against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7:00pm at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Hitmen then head to Red Deer Saturday before hosting Kelowna on Sunday in a 4:00pm start.
