November 19, 2012, Kent, WA – Boxing fans and sports enthusiasts are gearing up for this year’s most highly-anticipated event, The Soul of Boxing. The first of its kind, the event will feature the competition of over twenty amateur boxers, live music, and will take place at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA on November 30, 2012 at 7:30 pm.

Four-time light heavyweight world boxing champion, Antonio Tarver will be the guest host for the evening. Nicknamed “Magic Man”, this American professional boxer and former WBC, WBA, IBF and The Ring Light Heavyweight champion, is looking forward to using his industry experience for a good community event.

Live musical entertainment will be provided by Goody Bagg with a fusion of eclectic sounds of jazz, blues, R&B, funk, rock, and Reggae, and Donte Peace who brings to life the conscience Hip Hop/Rap movement.

The Soul of Boxing is more than dancing on canvas, throwing punches and hearing the crowd. It is the love for the sport, the community and the personal growth. “It is about the transparent connection that makes seemingly the most individualized sport depend so much on the deepest of invisible bonds between a fighter and a coach,” explains The Soul of Boxing contender Kevin Strothers.

You don’t have to be a long-time boxing enthusiast to enjoy this event. The Soul of Boxing promotes positive activities for youth and young adults and brings the community together to support amateur boxers in their quest for sporting excellence. All ages are welcome and this will be a great break from the holiday shopping stress. Families, youth groups, mentors and all kinds of sporting enthusiasts can enjoy great live music and sports.
