November 21, 2012, Victoria, BC – The UVic Men’s Hockey team, last year’s BCIHL Champions, are in desparate need of game day volunteers to assist at the remainder of their home games this season.

A key need is that of a broadcaster.  The BCIHL is broadcasting UVic games through FASTHockey this year. The last home series against EWU was the first weekend that  UVic broadcast their games. They want to take full advantage of this opportunity and have a camera volunteer in place that has been with the team since the beginning of last year.  They need to identify a person that would like to broadcast the games for the team.

They also need volunteers to work in the Penalty Box for TIME Keeping And Score Keeping and announcing and someone to sell 50/50 tickets which could be a great opportunity for a team to share in a fundraising opportunity.

Other game day volunteers and concession operators would also be required.

If people are interested please email the team at hockey@uvic.ca and leave their contact information and what position they would be interested in volunteering for.
