November 23, 2012, (ISN) – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Regina Pats 5-1 on Friday night at Prospera Place, extending its home winning streak to seven games in the first of three games for the team this weekend.
JT Barnett scored twice and Myles Bell had three assists as the Rockets never trailed in the game, outshooting Regina 34-16 in front of 5,527 fans in Kelowna.
Cole Martin, Ryan Olsen and Madison Bowey also scored for the Rockets while Jordon Cooke earned the win in net, allowing just a single goal, to the Pats’ Lane Scheidl.
The 20-year-old Barnett made his return to the Rockets lineup after being injured in Kelowna’s home opener. It didn’t take him long to hit the scoresheet, opening up the scoring seven minutes into the first period.
Kelowna improves to 13-8-1-1 on the season heading into two more games this weekend.
The Rockets will host Saskatoon on Saturday night before heading to Everett on Sunday.
