Mount Royal has now won five straight and sit at 8-2 on the year while the Huskies drop to 1-9.  The Cougars were simply too deep from top to bottom, out hitting, out blocking and out passing the Huskies who have now dropped six straight matches.

Middle Julia Pasieka paced the Cougars offence with 10 kills on the night, while Olivia Grecu trailed by one putting away nine balls on 17 attempts. Kayla Tycholiz was the top attacker for Saskatchewan with 12 kills.  Similar to Friday night, the Cougars came roaring out of the gate, building an 11-4 lead in the first set, as Olivia Grecu scored three consecutive kills helping the Cougars seize the early momentum.  Julia Pasieka would close out the first, crushing a ball from the middle as the Cougars rode their high-powered offence to a 25-15 set win.

Another aggressive start would see the Cougars pull away from the Huskies early in the second, building a commanding 10-4 lead. Rotating bodies in-and-out Breanna Estabrook would finish the set with a kill from the
outside as the Cougars took control of the match 25-17.
The third set would provide the best action of the night as the Huskies continued to fight, hanging in tight with the Cougs’ to 14-13. The Huskies would get no closer, however, as Mount Royal would surged to the finish
line putting the game and match out of reach closing out the night with a25-19 win.

Mount Royal will get a chance to test their mettle as they head to Edmonton to face the Alberta Pandas while Saskatchewan returns home to face the Calgary Dinos. Both matches take place on Nov. 30 – Dec.1.
