November 30, 2012, Saanich, BC – The Saanich Braves got back on the winning track this week as they completed back-to-back victories, winning Thursday over the Peninsula Panthers 4-3 and following that up with a home win Friday over the Campbell River Storm 4-2.
On Thursday at Peninsula, Ty Jones would have a goal and an assist to lead the Braves, while Josh Gray, Josh McGladery and Justin Polischuk added singles. The Braves would limit the Panthers to just 9 shots on goal over the final two frames and 20 overall, to help Tanner McGaw get the win. Cole Golka had apair of goals for the Panthers, while Cole Glover added a single. Stephen Heslop took the loss in net.
On Friday at Saanich, the Campbell River Storm came to town for the very first time this season, and it would be a pair of goals from Justin Polischuk, as well as powerplay goals from Nick Guerra and Josh Gray that would be all the Braves needed to cruise to a 4-2 win. Bowman Rutledge got the start and stopped 27 of 29 shots for the win.
