December 7, 2012, Campbell River, BC – The Nanaimo Buccaneers kept up their winning ways with another huge victory over the Campbell River Storm on Friday night. The Buccaneers came away with a 6-1 victory in Campbell River.
In the first period it was quiet until 18:22 when Adam Smith put the Buccaneers on the board on a powerplay goal.
In the second period the Buccaneers owned the ice. At 2:32 Garrett Dunlop to Will McNamara made it a 2-0 game, then at 7:44 Tyson Harvey netted his first goal of the year for the Buccaneers and they kept rolling. At 17:00 Shane Dial, dialed up to make it a 4-0 game and before the end of the period Will McNamara would get his second of the night.
In the third, the Bucs kept pressing and at 8:59 Jordan Levesque made it a 6-0 game. The Storm were able to get one goal to make the teddy bears fly on this, their Teddy Bear Toss night. Colin Blake scored the lone goal for the Storm.
Shane Dial thinks everyone was on their game and need to continue to be if they want to keep winning, “We have to keep up our hard working play for our game against Oceanside.”
The Buccaneers have won three games in a row and try to see if they can make it four, when they take on the Oceanside Generals on Saturday night.
