December 10, 2012, (ISN) – The Kelowna Rockets extended its home winning streak to 12 games with a convincing 7-2 win over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
Tyson Baillie scored twice and added an assist while Damon Severson had three helpers to lead the offense for the Rockets, who improved to 19-9-1-1 on the season and 12-2-0-0 at home this season.
Colton Heffley, Ryan Olsen, Henrik Nyberg, Cody Fowlie and Dylen McKinlay also scored for the Rockets while Jordon Cooke turned aside 18 shots to earn his 13th win of the season.
Kelowna now hits the road for a five game road trip to the WHL’s Central Division, starting on Tuesday in Cranbrook where they will take on the Kootenay Ice. On Wednesday the Rockets play in Lethbridge before playing three straight games next weekend, in Medicine Hat, Red Deer and Calgary.
That trip will close out the Rockets pre-Christmas schedule with the team next appearing in Kelowna on Dec. 27 against Kamloops.
