Kelowna Rockets Dominate Over Rebels 6-1

December 16, 2012, Kelowna BC, (ISN) – The Kelowna Rockets improved to 4-and-0 on its five game road trip through the Western Hockey League’s Central Division with a 6-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels Saturday night in Red Deer.

Defenceman Mitchell Wheaton scored his first WHL goal, Dylen McKinlay had four assists and Jackson Whistle earned the win in net, the team’s sixth straight victory.

Myles Bell netted his 20th of the season while other Rockets markers came from Damon Severson, Madison Bowey, Tyson Baillie and JT Barnett.

The win was the Rockets eleventh in twelve games and improves the team’s record to 23-9-1-1 on the season.

Kelowna closes out its five game road trip on Sunday in Calgary (3 pm PST).

The Rockets will break for Christmas following the game with the team returning for home games Dec. 27 against Kamloops and Dec. 30 against Everett.
