December 20, 2012, COLWOOD, BC – The Victoria Cougars scored six unanswered goals en route to a 6-1 win over the Westshore Wolves in VIJHL action on Wednesday at Bear Mountain Arena.
Early in the first period the Wolves were the first to strike with a nice goal by Spencer Preece who put one past Evan Roch at 5:27.

The Cougars were very quick in answering back when Brody Coulter shot one past Alec Dillon making the score one a piece. Then it was Sam Rice’s turn, and at 9:22 he fired one past the Wolves’ goaltender bringing the score to 2-1 for the Cougars. Jordan Law repeated the process at 12:29 by sending the puck past Dillon and into the back of the net, bringing the score to 3-1 for the Cougars. At 16:04 Jake Daughtry scored again for the Cougars, ending the first period with a 4-1 lead.

In the second, the Wolves decide to pull Dillon and put Matt Chester in net, but the Cougars continued to prevail regardless. At 10:13 the Cougar’s Dane Feeney added one to the board, as well as David Marshall at 18:10 bringing the score to 6-1 for the Cougars by the end of the second.
The third period was nothing but penalties. No more scoring. After the chippy twenty minutes the Cougars went home with the 6-1 win.
