December 30, 2012, Victoria, BC., (ISN) – It was an exciting night with the Victoria Grizzlies taking on the Nanaimo Clippers. The stands were filled with enthusiastic fans; both teams were fighting for position and with the Grizzlies closing in the fans were in for a thrilling third period.
The Clippers brought along their fair share of enthusiastic fans and they did not disappoint. Dahlen’s goal would be the only goal scored during the first period, with the Clippers out shooting the Grizzlies 12 to 9.

The Clippers opened up the second period with a goal by Trevor Fitzgerald at 1:02 bringing the score to 2-0 for the Clippers. The Victoria Grizzlies first goal of the game came shortly after with a nice power play goal by Gerry Fitzgerald, bringing the scoring to 2-1 for Nanaimo. Garrett Skrbich follows it up with a goal for the Grizzlies, and ties up the game at 2-2.

Austin Dick scores the go-ahead goal for the Clippers bringing the scoring to 3-2 in favour of the Nanaimo Clippers. The Clippers 4th goal came at 14:25, sending the puck past Michael Stiliadis making it 4-2 for the Clippers.

The Clippers Mason Mitchell opened the third period, sending a shot past Stiliadis and bringing the score to 5-2. The Grizzlies would eventually answer back as Myles Fitzgeralt gets the puck into the back of Dun’s net, bringing the score to 5-3.

With the Grizzlies Stefan Nicholishen repeating the process, the Grizzlies find themselves creeping up on the Clippers with the score now at 5-4. As the clock is ticking and only 3.9 seconds remaining, Trevor Fitzgerald of the Clippers fires the a shot past Stiliadis bringing the final score to 6- 4.
