January 7, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) is opening its doors for an Open House on Sunday, January 13.
The Open House – which will feature complimentary classes and the Times Colonist Health Challenge Kick-Off – will run from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. PISE is located on Camosun College’s Interurban Campus, 4371 Interurban Road.
Members of the public are invited to sample many of PISE’s programs for free. With classes every 30 minutes it is a chance for individuals to try out some new programs, and learn new skill sets. Classes include PISE H.I.I.T. – the high intensity training program that incorporates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods; Bootcamp and Bootcamp Advanced – a combined aerobic and strength and conditioning session. Other classes include: Super Spin, Adapted Strength & Conditioning, Raise the Bar, Women on Weights, Superfit, Drive Junior, BLASTT for Girls and Boys (12 to 15 yrs) and Progressive Tennis (6 to 10 yrs).
“We are delighted to invite members of the community to experience a taste of our leading edge fitness programs and learn about the many services available through our PISE partners,” says Stacey Lund, PISE’s Acting Program and Facility Director. “We are also excited to include the annual kick off for the Times Colonist Health Challenge and help motivate participants to make healthy lifestyle changes in 2013.”
