Heat host a pair of Alberta schools in women’s basketball

January 11, 2013, (ISN) – The second half of the basketball season will feature UBC Okanagan in their home gym seven times over their remaining 11 games. The first pair of home games will feature the last time the Heat host a Prairie Division foe when the No. 7 Calgary Dinos and the Lethbridge Pronghorns visit UBC’s Okanagan campus.

Friday night the Heat will hit the court against the No. 7 Dinos at 6 p.m. The Saturday night matchup with the Pronghorns will get underway at 5 p.m. Both nights the games will be played in the gymnasium on UBC’s Okanagan campus.

Special Event: The Saturday night matchup with the Pronghorns will be a special game for the Heat as the UBC Okanagan will donate funds to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in their participation of the CIS women’s basketball Shoot for the Cure initiative.

Tickets: Admission is free for UBC students with Student ID and for children under 12. Adults are $5 and just $3 for youth, seniors and visiting students.
