Lipon and Ully Ranked by Central Scouting

January 15, 2013, Kamloops, BC (ISN) – NHL’s Central Scouting Mid-Term Rankings were released today with JC Lipon and Cole Ully being ranked among the top 210 North American skaters.

JC Lipon is ranked no. 96 among North American skaters. The 6’0″ and 180lb forward is fresh off returning from representing Canada at the U-20 World Junior Championships in Russia. The 19-year-old, who has been passed over in the last two NHL drafts, has had a good season with 22 goals, 35 assists and 57 points in only 36 games this season which is good for 8th in the WHL scoring race.

Cole Ully was not mentioned in Central Scouting’s watch list earlier this season, but has shot up to no. 97 among North American skaters. The 5’11” 167lb forward has been terrific since the Christmas break with four goals and 10 points in seven games. This season, the 17-year-old has reached a career high with 12 goals, 12 assists and 24 points in 35 games this season.
