South Island forward to attend BCMML All-Star game in Langley, BC.

January 16, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The South Island Royals are proud to announce in partnership with the BC Major Midget Hockey League (BCMML) that forward Nick Guiney has been added to the BCMML All-Star Game in Langley, BC.

The Victoria, BC native has been one the Royals key point producers so far this season, having notched 24 points (7g-17a) along with 32 minutes in penalties in 26 games played. The 5’10”, 163 lb forward also skated with the South Island Thunderbirds during the 2011-12 campaign in which he collected 7 points (2g-5a) and 52 penalty minutes.

Guiney will join fellow South Island teammates Sean Buchanan and Cole Pickup at the BCMML All-Star Game.

The BCMML All-Star Game will take place on January 18, 2013 at the Langley Events Centre in Langley BC. The game will consist of 42 players representing all 11 Major Midget teams.

South Island will now enter their second bye weekend of the season. The Royals next home game at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre will come on Sunday, January 27th, when they welcome the North Island Silvertips for the second game of a home-and-home weekend series. Game time is slotted for 9:45 a.m.
