January 19, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Cowichan Capitals paid a visit to the Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria Friday night to take on the Victoria Grizzlies. The teams played hard in front of a crowd of 1,240 spectators, including a bus load of Caps fans.
With Brady Rouleau in net for the Grizzlies and Spand in net for the Capitals. The teams were off to a fast start, but it was the Grizzlies who opened the period when David Mazurek buried one at 13:47, being the first to put his team on the board.
Mazurek’s goal would be the only goal in the first period of the game.

At 6:10 of the second period, Grizzlies newcomer Pearce Eviston scored a power play goal, bringing the scoring to 2-0. It was RJay Barra who shot one past Rouleau getting his team on board at 17:45.

A total of three goals were scored in the third period, but it was the Grizzlies who opened the scoring when Gerry Fitzgerald shot the puck past Spand at 4:07. Kyle Horsman made his mark bringing the scoring to 3-2 for the Grizzlies.

It was Myles Fitzgerald who sealed the deal for the Grizzlies when he flipped one into the back of the net at 13:51, finishing the game with a score of 4-2 for the Grizzlies.
