Snow Angels Soar with the Help of Kings

January 30, 2013, Edmonton, AB (ISN) – Join Edmonton Oil Kings players as they encourage Edmontonians to put in ice time by shovelling snow and ice for neighbours who need help keeping their sidewalks clear.

Location: Corner of 129 St and 109 Ave Westmount

Jennifer Fowler, director of Community Relations for the City, and Darryl Porter, Edmonton Oil Kings vice president, will be available to discuss the successful partnership between the Snow Angels program and the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Snow Angels is an awareness and recognition program encouraging Edmontonians to voluntarily shovel snow for a senior or person with disabilities in their community. The program also asks those that receive help to acknowledge their volunteer as a City of Edmonton Snow Angel.
