February 4, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Victoria Royals will host the Seattle Thunderbirds for a pair of games this week following a three-game road trip that ended Saturday night in Prince George. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
The two teams have met twice already this season with the Royals taking both contests by a 6-2 score. This week’s doubleheader will also complete the four-game regular season series between Victoria and Seattle. With a 19-29-4-1 record, the Thunderbirds are clinging to the eighth and final playoff position in the Western Conference while Victoria (28-19-1-3) is looking to gain ground on fifth place Spokane and fourth place Tri-City this week.
Both games this week will see Victoria continue to sell tickets for the Royals Road Trip raffle at Gate 1! One fan will win tickets for two to see the Royals on the road when they take on the Kamloops Blazers on March 5th, Kelowna Rockets on March 6th and the Vancouver Giants on March 9th. Prizes also include accommodation from Accent Inns, a gas card from Peninsula Co-op and refreshments courtesy of Coca-Cola and Old Dutch! Tickets are also available at the Royals’ Team Store Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until February 14th. The lucky winner will be drawn live on CHEK News at 5:00 p.m. on February 15th with all proceeds going towards the BC Cancer Foundation!
Tuesday, February 5th

During the game, fans will be able to purchase tickets for the End of the Roll 50/50 draw and foam pucks for the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck. Prizes for the evening’s Chuck-A-Puck will include a one-night stay and spa treatment for two courtesy of OldHouse Village and two adult day lift passes from Mount Washington Alpine Resort! Proceeds from the evening’s End of the Roll 50/50 will benefit the Peninsula Minor Hockey Association and the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck will support the Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association.
Wednesday, February 6th
Wednesday night is Student Night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and will feature dedicated school sections, discounted tickets and special student promotions! Wednesday night will also see silent auctions continue for the Royals’ special edition Pink in the Rink jerseys! Fans can bid on Ben Walker, Jordan Fransoo and Coleman Vollrath’s pink jerseys until the end of the second intermission with all proceeds going to the BC Cancer Foundation.
