February 15, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – It was the  first Game for Pacific Christian School and the Gulf Island Secondary School Senior Boys at the 2013 AA Senior Boys Basketball South Island Championships held at Brentwood College Thursday night.

In the first Half of the game, PCS put the pressure on the GISS Scorpions and the points were fairly even throughout the half. The Scorpions found themselves in foul trouble early and ending up 4 pts behind at the end of the half.

The second period of the the game,  the Scorpions came out strong, showing off with an excellent defense with a full court press and a few steals.

Final score 74 GISS, 52 PCS Pacers.

Semi Finals will be held today, Friday February 15 – SMUS vs Brentwood –  GISS vs Lambrick Park.

The top teams will go to the Islands next week to see who will make it to the Provincials.
