February 17, 2013, Victoria BC (ISN) – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs were in Victoria Saturday night paying a visit to the Victoria Grizzlies at Bear Mountain Arena in front of 1,440 spectators, it turned out to be an action packed low scoring matchup between the two teams.
With Brady Rouleau in net for the Grizzlies and Jay Deo in net for the Bulldogs only one goal would be accomplished by the Grizzlies during the first twenty minutes of play.

At 3:17 David Walchuk out manouvered Deo getting his team on board as the Dogs struggled to answer before the end of the period. The score remained 1-0 for the Grizzlies with the shots on net being equal at 6 a piece.

Early in the second period the Grizzlies struck again when Leo Fitzgerald scored his twenty fifth goal of the season at the 2:47 mark, bringing the score to 2-0 for his team.

The Bulldogs answered back at 4:29 when Chase Van Allen scored a power play goal on Rouleau getting his team in on the board.

The period came to close with both teams coming up empty leaving the score at 2-1 Grizzlies.

The Victoria Grizzlies opened the scoring once again at the 7:18 mark when David Walchuk scored his second of the night, plotting one in behind Deo, and changing the scoreboard for a final score of 3-1 after forty minuts of play.
