Bowl for Kids Sake, JDRF Raises $1200

February 18, 2013, Kamloops, BC (ISN) – The Kamloops Blazers are participating in this year’s ‘Bowl for Kids Sake’ which is formerly known as Strikes for Tykes this year.

Blazers’ players including Colin Smith, Dylan Willick, Joel Edmundson and many more have volunteered their time to participate in the event next Monday, February 25th at 5:30pm at Bowlertime in Kamloops.

Four teams will participate in the event that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops and Region. Teams will be made up of Blazers along with Blazers Game Host Tara Gostelow and Joshua Knaak from Canadian Western Bank which sponsors the event.

Pledges for the event will be taken tonight at Save On Foods from 5:00pm – 6:30pm, at the Blazers Corner Store during Wednesday’s game or online by following this link.

Four spots will be available for fans to enter to bowl with the Kamloops Blazers! These spots will be open for kids aged 10-15. Follow this link to sign up for a chance to bowl with the Blazers!

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation raised $1200 from this past Friday’s game with former Blazer Jordan DePape speaking to young kids that are affected by Type 1 diabetes. The Kamloops Blazers, Animas Canada and JDRF would like to thank the fans for their generous support.
