February 19, 2013, Kamloops, BC (SIN) – The Kamloops Blazers are hosting the Portland Winterhawks for the final time this season on Wednesday, February 20th.

The hockey club will honour the Canadian junior women’s curling championship team comprised of skip Corryn Brown, third Erin Pincott, second Sam Fisher, and lead Sydney Fraser.

Brown’s team is the first B.C. team to win the event since 1987 and the first Kamloops rink to win the event since 1982. The Canadian champions are headed to Sochi, Russia this weekend to compete in the world junior championships from February 28th – March 10th.

Wednesday’s game is also an A&W Teen Burger night. If the Blazers score four or more goals and win the game, you can redeem your ticket for a Free Teen Burger at any A&W location in Kamloops within 48 hours.

Save On Foods is the game sponsor. Fans are asked to make a donation to the Kamloops Food Bank at the game and enter to win a chance to shoot to win $25,000 worth of groceries. Campbell’s will be selling cans of soup for $1 with the soup and money being donated to the Food Bank.
