February 22, 2013, (ISN) – Keith Dagg, the Co-Chair of the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, has been given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce.
Keith Dagg, a founding partner of Copeland Communications and a curler at the Victoria Curling Centre, will receive the Governors’ Lifetime Achievement Award at an Awards Gala on April 23.
Dagg has volunteered his time with a number of organizations and events including numerous curling events, including when Victoria successfully hosted the 2005 World Men’s Curling Championship. He received the 2012 Life Member Award from Tourism Victoria, and is a director on six boards.
Chris Atchison, the other Co-chair of the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, said: “Keith has always been a champion for the sport of curling and is steadfastly dedicated to the advancement and betterment of the game. He is able to leverage his stature in the business community to bring support for curling events that both showcase the marquee talent and build capacity for the sport’s essential grassroots.”
Dagg said the award was an honour. He added: “I have lived in Victoria for 51 years and winning this award is the biggest thing that has ever happened to me in my business life. I am so happy to share this wonderful news with my family.”

The Lifetime Achievement Award is selected by the Chamber’s Board of Governors. The other 150 award nominees were compared by a judging panel, leaving 26 finalists.
