Cougars Dominate Monday Night

February 26, 2013, North Saanich, BC (ISN) – Dane Feeney had two goals and three assists to lead the Victoria Cougars past the Peninsula Panthers 8-1 on Monday night.

Victoria is now one win of advancing to the VIJHL South Island Division finals.

Also scoring for the Cougars were Mark Walton (2), Ben Kinshella, Nathan Chen-Mack, Jamie Severs, and Kelyn Opel.

Evan Roch made five saves for the victory as Stephen Heslop took the loss after allowing seven goals on 35 shots. Leighton Williams, who replaced Heslop with 20 seconds left in the second period, made 11-of-12 saves in relief.

Peninsula got its lone goal from Connor Logan.

Game 5 goes Thursday, February 28 in Esquimalt. Game time at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, located at 1151 Esquimalt Road, is 7:00 p.m.
