February 26, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Victoria Royals will host three games at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this week.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will make their first appearance in Victoria this season on Wednesday, February 27th while the Spokane Chiefs visit the Island on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd. Puck drop for all games is set for 7:05 p.m.

Lethbridge and Victoria have only met once this season as the Royals fell by a 4-2 score back on November 7th, 2012. With a 25-28-2-7 record, the Hurricanes are currently in a fight for their playoff lives as they trail the Kootenay Ice by five points for the final spot in the Eastern Conference.

While the Royals have already clinched a playoff spot, the team is wrapped up in a fight of their own for home ice advantage in the playoffs with the Spokane Chiefs and Tri-City Americans. This weekend’s doubleheader versus fifth-place Spokane (36-24-2-0) will be critical for sixth-place Victoria in their quest for home ice in the post-season as they trail the Chiefs in the Western Conference standings by five points.

Royals Pink in the Rink and Canadian Forces Appreciation Night jerseys are available for bidding by silent auction for the remainder of the regular season. Bids can be made at Guest Services and Gate 1 during Royals home games. For full jersey auction schedule, visit www.victoriaroyals.com/jerseyauctions.
