March 2, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Canadian international Sean White recorded a game-high 19 points on Saturday afternoon to lift James Bay Athletic Association (7-2) to a 24-10 win over defending Rounsefell Cup champions Capilano RFC (6-3).

In a match that featured several former and current national team representatives, White kicked four penalties, a convert and ran in a try. James Bay’s former national sevens rep Neil Meechan also crossed over to score.

Capilano’s try came courtesy of Canadian sevens flyer Harry Jones while new addition Matt Simms tacked on a penalty and a conversion to round out the team’s 10 points.

Meraloma (5-3) currently sit seven points back of James Bay in third place but had their match against Burnaby Lake (4-3) postponed due to heavy rains and field closures.

The UBCOB Ravens moved to 2-5-1 after blanking White Rock’s Bayside Athletic Association by a score of 15-0. The win lifts the Ravens out of last place and three points clear of Bayside as the two sides look to avoid relegation this season.

Next week will see the Ravens host Burnaby Lake at Jericho Park with the UVic Vikes (4-4) away to Oak Bay’s Castaway Wanderers (2-5-1).
