Sharks Devour Penquins

March 13, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Tuesday night was game five in the Victoria Hockey League between the Sharks and the visiting Penguins, it was a feisty battle from start to finish but the home team would take the win with a score of 8-3.

The first period was all Sharks as they opened the scoring at 2:42 when Colin Guiguet scored his first of four goals; three of which were scored during the first period. Then at 3:31 Kelly Reynolds scored the second for the Sharks, burying the puck behind net minder Kyle Harrison.

At 4:38 and 13:39 Guiguet gets his second and third of the period; both shorthanded goals, changing the scoring to 4-0 Sharks and ending the period.

The Sharks opened the second period with two quick goals, one at 5:37 scored by Blair Tassone and the next at 6:17 scored by Kelly Reynolds, his second of the night.

The Penguins managed to get themselves on board when Cam Williams shot one in behind the Sharks’ net minder, Dave Brumby at 8:05. This was followed shortly after by another for their team at 8:56; a power play goal from Ben Thornber.

Then at 13:03 Colin Guiguet scored his fourth of the night, changing the scoring to 7-2 Sharks. At the 14:42 mark, Kurtis Dukelow scored a power play goal on Harrison, chalking another one up for the Sharks. The Penguins would answer back with a power play goal of their own at 17:24 when Reid Prystai beat Brumby ending the game in favor of the Sharks with a score of 8-3.
