March 21, 2013, Edmonton, Alberta (ISN) – Teams from Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba gathered at West Edmonton Mall from March 8-10th to compete in the Alberta Cheerleading Association’s 11th Annual Total Spirit Cheerleading Championships.

It was the largest competition yet with over 200 teams participating. The championships consisted of 10 different events and over 50 divisions throughout the weekend. The Alberta Cheerleading Association, or ACA, recognizes 12 distinct level sets spread across the divisions and are separated by age or grade, team size, and composition.

This year’s edition will be held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida from April 27-28th. The two winners of the bids were Alberta Cheer Empire’s All Girl Level 6 team (partially paid) and the Perfect Storm Co-ed Level 6 team.
