We feel we have a group of young women who have the potential to play very well at this year’s World Championships and improve upon our strong showing at last summer’s FIBA Americas. Personally, I am glad for the opportunity to return to this team and I look forward to guiding this group of talented and skilled players as we look to develop athletes for the senior women’s national team program.”

This is an exciting time for Canadian Women’s basketball, exemplified by the recent hiring of Senior Team coach Lisa Thomaidis. Canada Basketball is reaching new heights – and our cadette coaching staff takes great pride in being part of the development process of our young athletes to help attain our national team goals of reaching the podium at the World Championships and Olympic Games. It will no doubt be another exhilarating summer.”
