March 27, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – It was game four in the VHL playoffs between the Sharks and the Lions at Pearkes Arena in Victoria. This would have been the Lions’ chance to even the score but that was not to be.
The Sharks took the win, winning three games to one dubbing themselves the Victoria Hockey League champs.

It wasn’t until 16:46 into the game that the sole goal of the period was scored and that goal went to the Sharks’ Chad Linger when he buried the puck in behind Matt Thomson. The assist went to Colin Guiguet and the period ended with a score of 1-0 Sharks.

42 seconds into the second period, the Sharks buried another one. Ben King got the opportunity and took it, scoring the Sharks second of the game. King’s goal was unassisted.

The Lions did answer back at 9:43 when Sean Tackaberry scored on Dave Brumby getting his team on board which would prove to be the only goal scored by the Lions during this meeting. Assists in Tackaberry’s goal went to Devon Lang and Jarrett Penny.

At 10:14, the Sharks’ Tyler Tachnyk buries the puck, changing the score to 3-1 for the Sharks which ended up being the final score at the end of forty minutes. Assists in Tachnyk’s goal went to Kurtis Dukelow and Brian Passmore.
