April 6, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – General Manager Holly Jones is pleased to announce that the Yates Street Tap House will be the presenting partner of the 2013 West Coast League All-Star Game.

The game will be held on July 23 on the HarbourCats home field at Royal Athletic Park. The HarbourCats are also excited to reveal the official 2013 WCL All-Star Game logo.

The HarbourCats are thrilled to have been selected by the WCL to host the 2013 All-Star Game during the team’s inaugural season. Yates Street Tap House Manager Grant Turner said, “We are excited to partner with the HarbourCats, especially for the All-Star Game. We are big supporters of community events and the HarbourCats are doing a great job of ensuring that all Victorians get a chance to be a part of this amazing opportunity for our city.”

The logo was designed by Jakki Corrigan, the team’s Merchandise and Partnerships Manager. Corrigan’s inspiration was the natural beauty of Victoria, and her design prominently features the maple leaf, which celebrates the first time that the WCL All-Star Game has been held in Canada. General Manager Holly Jones said, “We felt that featuring the mountains and waves on the logo showed the true beauty that the island has to offer, and the maple leaf adds a uniquely Canadian feel that we have remained committed to incorporating.”

The WCL All Star Game will feature the best players from around the league, providing players the opportunity to put their talents on display in front of more than 20 MLB scouts and a packed stadium at Royal Athletic Park. Fans can also look forward to a Home Run Derby before the All-Star Game that will feature the hardest hitting players in the league. The HarbourCats will be announcing details about community events and activities at the All-Star Game soon.

Season ticket holders will have the first chance to buy additional tickets to the All-Star Game when their Single Game Ticket pre-sale begins next Monday, April 8. Single game tickets will open up to the general public one week later on April 15. Fans are encouraged to buy All Star game tickets as soon as they become available, as the game is expected to sell out quickly.
