April 17, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Blazers continued their winning ways last night with an 8-3 win over the Luckies, improving to 2-0 on the young 2013 season. Last night’s game marked the return of 2011 Goaltender-of-the-Year Rob Wood, who needed little time to settle in and adjust to the league’s new larger nets.
Also returning to the fold was former league scoring champion Bud Vandermeer, who despite being held off the scoresheet in his debut, made several key plays to keep the Blazers in control of the game.

“Great effort,” said longtime Blazers supporter (and former Growing Pains star) Alan Thicke*. “This team is looking good from top to bottom. Make sure you get out to see these guys do their thing this season. It’s a lot of fun.”
