The Sounders came within inches of tying the match in the 28th minute, when Josh Phillips rang one off the left post, keeping the game 1-0 Victoria. Levis tallied his second of the match when he opted to split two defenders and then finesse a shot past the Sounders goalkeeper, the goal received the largest roar of the afternoon from the fans of the match, and put the Highlanders up 2-0. The two-goal margin was threatened again when Sounders Aodhan Quinn looked to convert on a corner kick, but it was not to be and the Highlanders retained their 2 goal differential.
