Heathering​ton Invited to NHL Scouting Combine

May 21, 2013 Swift Current, SK (ISN) – Swift Current Broncos defenceman, Dillon Heatherington, is among 101 of the top NHL draft-eligible players from North America and Europe who have been invited to the 2013 NHL Scouting Combine which will be held May 27th to June 1st in Toronto, ON.

Heatherington is currently ranked 31st amongst North American skaters (8th amongst WHL skaters) in NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings. The 6’4″, 196-pound product of Calgary, AB posted a career-high season recording four goals and 23 assists for 27 points (more than doubling his point totals from the 2011-12 season) in 71 games played with the Broncos.

Heatherington also represented Team Canada at the 2013 IIHF U18 World Championship in Sochi, Russia where he posted a goal and took home Gold.

The Combine is split into two parts; the interview process runs May 27-30 while the fitness testing portion takes place on May 31 and June 1. Fitness testing takes place at the Toronto International Centre and is headed by Dr. Norman Gledhill and his staff at York University.

The 2013 NHL Entry Draft will take place June 28-29, 2013 at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey.
