May 21, 2013, (ISN) – Track & field results from across Canada including IPC Grand Prix and IAAF World Championship Tracking.

Canadian Records:

Renee Foessel of Mississauga, Ont., (Cruisers Sports) won the women’s F38 classification discus throw with a mark of 29.44 metres. Foessel bettered her own Canadian mark of 28.96 metres set one-year ago. Her new record is also an Americas regional record.

Saskatoon Saskatchewan’s Becky Richter (Cyclones Road and Track Club) established a new Americas regional record and Canadian record in the F51 club throw. She won the women’s club throw with 14.25 metres and this is also an IPC World Championship Elite standard.

Alister McQueen (unattached) of Calgary, Alta., bettered his own Canadian record in the T44 classification 200-metres. He surpassed his own mark set last year of 24.19 by crossing the finish line at the Desert Series in 24.13.

Nicole Sifuentes (unattached) of Winnipeg, Man., clocked 4:04.65 in the 1500-metres, a World Championship A standard. She placed 3rd at the USATF High Performance Distance Classic on May 17 in Los Angeles, CA.
