Isfeld edges out Little Flower Academy in the BC AA Senior Girls 2013 Soccer Championships

June 1, 2013, Comox Valley, BC (ISN) – The Isfeld Ice Senior Girls soccer team would not take no for an answer, coming from behind the girls were determined to take the win. The Isfeld Ice came through with a 2-1 victory over the Little Flower Academy on Friday.

Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School in Comox Valley is playing host to the 2013 Girls AA High School Provincial Soccer Championships which will also include the surrounding Valley View soccer facilities.

Isfeld, and the Comox Valley, welcomed nearly 350 athletes, coaches and spectators representing 16 schools from around the province. The tournament is taking place over a 3 day period, from Thursday, May 30 through to Saturday, June 1.

The girls started playing at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and Friday with subsequent games starting at, 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. On Saturday, June 1 the final eight matches will take place, with the championship final starting at 11:30 a.m. Award ceremonies will take place on the field at the end of the tournament. Spectators are encouraged to come out and support some of the finest AA high school soccer in the province.
