Carney Senior Girls Take Home 2013 Provincial Soccer Championship

June 1, 2013, Comox Valley, BC (ISN) – With 16 schools competing around the province for the 2013 Girls AA High School Provincial Soccer Championship, it was Archbishop Carney from Po-Co with a thrilling 2-1 Victory over Burnsview.

It turned out to be a great day out at Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School in Comox as the final 8 teams started playoff rounds at 11:30 am Saturday June 1. With the spectators cheering and looking on, it was clear that each team in the playoffs were going to fight hard for the championship title.

Congratulations to Archbishop Carney Senior Girls from Po-Co for their thrilling 2-1 Victory over Burnsview. Scoring for AC were Izzy Ryan and Megan Lui for the Championship, tournament MVP went to Pam Scowby from Archbishop Carney.

Little Flower Academy “Angels” – Recognized with the Fair Play Award

Emma Entzminger of Lambrick Park Secondary and Shelby Jeeves of Mark R. Isfeld both had seven goals each throughout the tournament, sharing the – Golden Boot Award
