June 1, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Again the Intermediate Shamrocks and their Jr. ‘A’ counterparts split their home games today. This time it was the Intermediates coming away with a 13-12 overtime win against the Port Coquitlam Saints and the Jr. Rocks dropping a 13-10 decision to the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
The Intermediate Shamrocks found themselves down 5-0 by the 5:08 point of period 1 and things looked dismal. They kept battling back but it took them the remaining 54:52 of regulation time to get even, the tying goal coming at 19:39 of the third period.

For the Jr. Shamrocks it was a different story. The Rocks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead only to give up 5 straight goals to the visiting Salmonbellies to go down 5-2 after the first period. The teams played even in terms of goals the rest of the way but the Shamrocks never got any real momentum.
