MAGOG, Que. – Brooke Currie, a native of Stratford, P.E.I., and member of the McGill University rowing team, helped her hometown province win silver in the women’s quad at the 2013 Sherbrooke Canada Games Test Regatta on June 8 in Lac Magog, Que.
 
Currie, a 19-year-old biology sophomore who rowed in a novice boat at McGill last fall, met her three PEI teammates on the dock for the first time for the race. The foursome also included Lauren Murray, Aleya Quilty and Jaime MacKinnon.
 
Murray, who trains with the St. Francis Xavier varsity rowing team in Antigonish, N.S. and joined Currie to compete in the women’s doubles event.
