Willick to play for the University of New Brunswick

June 10, 2013, Kamloops, BC (ISN) – The Kamloops Blazers 2012-13 team captain, Dylan Willick, will attend the University of New Brunswick in the fall to utilize his WHL scholarship earned in his four seasons with the Blazers.

Willick spent four full seasons with the Blazers playing in 266 games and posting 80 goals and 157 points. In 30 playoff games, the Prince George native added 11 goals and 8 assists.

The 5’10” forward was a large part of the Kamloops Blazers success over his four seasons. His durability was evident over his WHL career as he missed only 21 games after breaking his ankle in early-November this past season. His quick return to the hockey club was a testament to his character.

The University of New Brunswick has a very successful men’s hockey program. The Varsity Red has won the Atlantic University Sport division pennant six straight seasons and the Canadian Inter-University men’s hockey national title four times in the past seven seasons.

Willick, who now resides in Kamloops with his family, plans to pursue a degree in Engineering from UNB.
