Rugby Canada to host World Cup Sevens training camp in Burnaby

June 18, 2013, Vancouver, BC (ISN) – Rugby Canada has announced that the Senior Men’s National Sevens team will be holding their final training camp ahead of the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens at the Fortius Athlete Development Centre in Burnaby, British Columbia.

The squad will train at the brand new facility from Thursday, June 20th until Sunday, June 23rd when they will fly to Moscow, Russia to prepare for the upcoming tournament.

Located in the Central Valley Sports Complex, Fortius is a not-for-profit facility that houses world-class amenities with sport and health resources.

Fans, local media and coaches alike are encouraged to attend the open camp as the team prepares for their first game against the New Zealand All Blacks on Friday, June 28th before facing the USA and Georgia the following day.

The players will be open to signing autographs following the training sessions.

Burnaby Training Camp Schedule:

Thursday: 4:30pm – 6:00pm

Friday: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Saturday: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Saturday: 4pm – 5:30pm
