June 21, 2013, Brandon, MB (ISN) – The Brandon Wheat Kings are pleased to announce that Gladstone’s Al Timmons has won a trip for two next month to see the Blue Jays host the Tampa Bay Rays at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Timmons, one of over 1,600 western Manitoba hockey fans to purchase a 2013-14 Wheat Kings Season Ticket, had his name drawn “Live” Friday afternoon on 94.7 Star FM.
In addition to tickets to back to back weekend games in Toronto, the Wheat Kings Early Bird Grand Prize Draw includes both travel and hotel accommodations in downtown Toronto – walking distance from both the Hockey Hall of Fame and Air Canada Centre.
Friday’s draw comes one day after the hockey club’s Early Bird Deadline that saw 1,629 tickets purchased for the 2013-14 Western Hockey League season. The hockey club sold 1,648 last season, after selling a franchise record 2,013 by the June Early Bird Deadline in 2011. Timmons, who has been a Wheat Kings’ Season Ticket holder for the past six seasons, says that he has been a Blue Jays fan for his entire life and is looking forward to seeing them live at Rogers Centre.
All fans that have purchased for the upcoming season will now have the opportunity to take advantage of this week’s “Seat Moving Day”, which has been scheduled for 9am on Tuesday, June 25th.
All seats that were not guaranteed by Thursday’s Early Bird Deadline will be available at that time.
Season ticket sales to the general public will also resume Tuesday and fans can order by phone at 726-3535 or by stopping by the Wheat Kings’ office, located at the Keystone Centre.
Following are the Season Ticket prices for 2013-14:
Youth (18 and under) $200
The Wheat Kings sold over 2,500 season tickets last season and averaged 3,800 fans per home game. At just over $11 per game, an adult season ticket will save fans close to $9 off the regular box office admission price.
