Fifteen cars took the green flag for twenty laps of racing with the Figure 8 Series and this was a tough race from start to finish. On lap four the yellow came out as Kyle Rizok’s car quit leaving him in a vulnerable position after running in second. By lap six, Cody Loughran had the lead followed by Brendon Moore and Cam Wilkinson. By lap ten Moore took over the lead dropping Loughran back to run second with Wilkinson in third. On lap fourteen several cars got together on turn two and virtually had the track blocked as no one could move around the tire bringing out another yellow in order to move some of the dead cars. On lap sixteen, Moore was still leading followed by Cody Young and Rhett Szevics. When the dust settled, Young hung on for the win followed by Brendon Moore, Szevics, Marie Haywood, and Kevin Mazur holding the top five positions.

Daniel David and Tony Kambo led sixteen cars to the green flag for forty laps of racing win the Bomber Series. By lap two Aaron Cameron had the lead followed by Kambo and Jarrod Heap while other fast drivers were coming forward in a hurry. By lap five, Cameron still led but had Dennis Stewart moving into second dropping Heap back to third. On lap seven the yellow came out for debris on turn four. On the double file restart, Cameron had Stewart on the outside for the resumption of green flag racing. On lap eight, Stewart grabbed the lead while back a few cars, Phil Lagan and Brian Wakelin drove into the top five respectively. On lap twelve Lagan gained the third spot followed by Cameron and Bobby Cyr while up front Stewart was building a decent lead. On lap fourteen Lagan took over the second spot and began the pursuit of the leader. On lap nineteen, Lagan had closed the gap significantly on the leader as lapped traffic became a factor. Cyr was moving in on the two front runners as well. Over the next several laps, Lagan and Stewart ran side by side and bumper to bumper with Cyr waiting for a mistake by these two drivers. By lap twenty-nine Lagan had the lead and began to build a lead himself. Lagan went on to capture his second Feature event in 2013 followed by Bobby Cyr, Stewart, and Jarrod Heap rounding out the top four positions.

James and Shawn Young led thirteen vehicles to the green flag in a combined Demo Car and Demo Truck Feature event. To even up the playing field, the turn three and four got some water sprayed on it just to make it interesting. This race produced some good hits on the dry sections and some pretty soft blows in the corners to cars, trucks, and walls. When the dust settled, Bill Gallacher was first to cross the finish line followed by James Young and George Haywood in the Demo Trucks.

Six cars entered the Total Destruction event which is always hard hitting and popular with the fans. Some cars did not last long while others managed to move even though most of the cars were destroyed. B.J. Veld looked like he only had half a car but it was enough to get him the win.

The next event, at Western Speedway, is the Wednesday Night Fever event with the Steve Copp Construction Hornet Series scheduled for July 3rd. The next regular Saturday event will feature the Richlock Rentals Non Wing Sprint Cars, Stock Cars, SDL Bins I.M.S. 4 Mini Stock Series, and the Island Dwarf Cars scheduled for July 6th.
