July 2, 2013, Prince George, BC (ISN) – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) will be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday July 23, 2103 in the multipurpose room of the Prince George Coliseum.
The Prince George Spruce Kings are a community owned Junior A hockey team playing in the BCHL governed by a volunteer board of directors and its membership. The AGM provides information on the operations of the team over the past season as well as a forecast for the 2013-14 season. Along with reports from the various committees, there will be elections for board members at this meeting.
“The AGM is a great opportunity for the Spruce Kings membership and the public to learn more about the organization,” said Spruce Kings board member, David Wilson. “Input from the community is paramount in the operations of this organization moving forward.”
“Going into our 42nd year, the Spruce Kings have proven to be a successful and viable team in the BCHL,” added Wilson. “Involvement from community members is very important to keep this going and growing.”
All interested people are welcome to attend, but only members in good standing are able to vote and otherwise provide input. Membership forms can be obtained from and submitted to the Spruce Kings office located in the Prince George Coliseum at 888 Dominion Street.
