July 3, 2013, Medicine Hat, AB (ISN) – Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to select German centerman Markus Eisenschmid with the 28th pick in today’s CHL Import Draft.

The 6′ 0″, 180 lbs. native of Marktoberdorf, Germany spent the 2012-13 season playing for ESV Kaufbeuren in Germany 2 men’s league while also playing games with his former junior team ESV Kaufbeuren U18 of the DNL when the schedule permitted. Eisenschmid participated in the World Junior Championship U18 for Germany the past two years.

He has represented his country at both the U17 and U18 tournaments over the past couple of seasons.
