July 8, 2013, Saskatoon, SK (ISN) – University of Saskatchewan women’s basketball guard Kaylee Halvorson will return to the Canadian Junior Women’s National Team for the second straight summer.

Halvorson is one of 12 on the final roster for the under-19 team that will compete at the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women in Lithuania. The tournament runs July 18-28.

The 5-11 guard is no stranger to international competition. In 2012, Halvorson was a member of the Canadian squad that finished fourth at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. Halvorson has also been a member of Canada’s U17 Women’s Youth Olympic 3-on-3 Team and the Cadette Women’s National Team.

In 2012-13, Halvorson averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in her first season with the Huskies.
