Four TWU Spartans To Represent BC At Canadian Jr. Championships

July 10, 2013, Langley, BC (ISN) – The Trinity Western track and field program will see four of its athletes compete at the 2013 Canadian Junior Track & Field Championships as Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.), Joel Deschiffart (Nanaimo, B.C.), James Linde (Coquitlam) and Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) will all run for Team BC in Sainte-Thérèse, Que July 12-14.

Yee, who will join the Spartans in the fall after graduating from Hazelton Secondary this past spring, will run in the 2000m steeplechase and the 3000m. She comes into the championship ranked first overall in the 2000m SC, with a seed time of 6:55.30, and sixth overall in the 3000m, with a time of 9:57.00.

George, who will be going into his second year at TWU this fall, will run in the 400m and enters the competition ranked third, with a seed time of 47.48.

Deschiffart, who will also be entering his second year as a Spartan this fall, will compete in both the 5000m and the 3000m SC. He enters the 3000m SC ranked sixth, with a seed time of 9:21.08, and the 5000m ranked seventh, after clocking a time of 15:01.02 earlier this year.

Linde, who like George and Deschiffart is also coming off his first season with TWU, will run in the 100m and 200m. He enters the championship meet ranked ninth in the 100m, with a seed time of 10.82, and 16th in the 200m, with a time of 21.97.
