July 10, 2013, (ISN) – A variety of funding opportunities are available to curling centres wanting to expand their programs or refurbish their facilities. Curling centres on Vancouver Island may be eligible for funding from the Island Coastal Economic Trust.
Part of their program supports eligible projects with non-repayable contributions up to a maximum of $400,000. Eligible applicants include non-profits and First Nations. Businesses are not eligible as sole applicants for direct funding support.

Curling centres in northern BC may be interested in the Northern Development Initiative Trust. Applicants can get up to 33% of the cost of a recreational facility construction or refurbishment, up to $30,000.
