July 11, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – A frustrating series came to a close Wednesday night as the Walla Walla Sweets left Victoria with an 16-5 win over the HarbourCats, completing their 3 game sweep of Victoria.
Tanner Kiest found himself in a rough spot in the 1st, letting the first 3 guys on. He did, however, get the next 2 outs and was 1 strike away from getting out of the inning. However, he hit Nick Vilter and then allowed a grand slam to Kris Paulino to fall behind 5-0.

The HarbourCats would rally back with runs in the 1st, 4th and 5th to make it a 6-3 game. However, Walla Walla would lay the final blow on the HarbourCats with their 7-run top half of the 6th. Spencer O’Neil blasted a 3-run home run in the inning to put Victoria away for good.
David Schuknecht’s 2-run home run in the bottom of the 6th would be one of the lone bright spots for Victoria, who needed 7 pitchers of their own to get through the night.

The Sweets outscored Victoria 33-8 over the 3-game series and sent the HarbourCats to a 3-9 record in their last 12 games. Their 13-13 record is their 1st time at .500 all season.
